Our Story

Established in 1989, Combine Bros Bar and Grille occupies the oldest existing commercial structure in Hermitage. Built as a general store at the turn of the century, and known over the years as The Woodside Inn, Bobby’s Inn, The Brass Rail and The Hickory Grille, the location has been patronized by four generations of Shenango Valley residents.

Our food is prepared fresh and from scratch daily in our spotless kitchen.  Our in-house bakery kneads lots of dough; and turns out all the crusty loaves, pizza, foccacia, cheesecakes and biscotti we serve.

Homemade daily by our family and a supporting cast: soups, stocks, pestos, polenta, sausages, meatballs, egg noodles, manicotti, lasagna, gnocchi, 26 signature sauces, salsa, chiles.

Our seafood dishes  include - calamari, fresh clams and mussels, smelts, shrimp, tuna, scallops, cod, crab- prepared daily.

We specialize in chile pepper preparations and homemade condiments.
 
Our copasetic atmosphere and industrial art deco interior design implies an admiration of classic fundamentalism, machine technology and the iron and steel industry.

Our place is full of history, not nostalgia.
